A while back that I was contacted by the lovely people at Liv to see if I would like to try out a few of their items and now that I’ve spent time putting the pieces through their paces (try saying that after a few glasses of wine) I’m happy to
report that I’m really impressed.
Liv was first launched in 2005 with the “belief that by building an ethical and sustainable business we can go some way to making a worthwhile impact on the world. We strongly believe that the skills and welfare of people, whether here in the UK or in less privileged regions around the world, should be at the centre of all we do”. Ethical and gorgeous to wear – what’s not to love.
One of the biggest issues that clients talk to me about, especially during the colder months, is wanting to look stylish but also be warm at the same time. From a visual point of view, I had no complaints. Liv clothing is produced using the highest quality soft, organic cotton, merino and alpaca wool yarns, so in theory should be as warm as a sheepskin sleeping bag (oooh doesn’t that sound lovely)! So was it……..? Well, maybe not as toasty as a sheepskin sleeping bag, but yes, they did keep me very well insulated.
I’m not one to wear big jumpers as I’m petite and often feel a bit overwhelmed by them but the 100% merino wool that was used in the shrug and jumper was so lightweight that I didn’t feel swamped or weighed down. The styles are really easy to wear and worn in the right way can be really flattering. I’ve fallen in love with my shrug and have worn it endlessly and now can’t imagine life without it.
