Denim is going to be BIG this Spring/Summer (but really when is denim not big?) and what's great is that most people have at least one pair of jeans in their wardrobe so it's an accessible look for most people. Because jeans are such a staple it can be easy to get stuck in a rut in knowing how to wear them differently so here's a great photographic article on how to style blue jeans 60 different ways. Which are your favourites? Mine are definitely the distressed boyfriend styles with amazing shoes and blazers.

I went on a quick research mission around John Lewis earlier and it seems that there is one style of shoe that is going to be big next season, and guess what, it's comfortable AND flattering too!
Move aside the classic almond toe ballet pump and make way for the gorgeous pointed flat. I love this style as it's great for making your legs appear longer, especially if wearing under wider legged trousers and is an easy way to update your wardrobe and make it slightly edgier. These will look fab with all kinds of denim including this seasons must have denim dress, but also with smarter ankle grazers and midi-skirts. What do you think? Are you tempted to try a pointy toe? My favourites are the navy and green patterned John Lewis Collection pair on the top row - I would wear them with distressed denim and a white shirt and a great necklace and maybe clash them with my leopard print bag. They'd also look great with a midi-skirt, cashmere jumper and a denim jacket. |
I'm a lover of all things fashion, style and image related but more than that I believe passionately in the power of feeling good in your clothes.
I'm also a mum to a teenage daughter who is taller than me with legs longer than mine and a dog whose curls are glossier and bouncier than mine!! Archives
